| Philosophy and Goals |
Everyone is entitled to quality haircutting and the best haircolor available at a reasonable price. The health and integrity of your hair is my primary focus. It is my goal to make your hair healthier-looking going out than it did coming in -- without just cutting it off. Another goal of mine is to educate busy women about how to attain their finished style quickly, with consistent results.
I LOVE PICTURES! Many stylists don't, but I do. I'd love for you to bring in pictures of styles/color/texture that you love, as well as ones you don't! If you don't find the exact style you are looking for, bring in a few pictures that show the feeling you are going for.

Education and Experience |
Upon graduation of high school, and after years of taking care of my friends' and family's hair, I fulfilled my dream of attending cosmetology school. In the summer of 1992, I attended Paul Mitchell Endorsed Academy in Seattle, Washington, where I completed the majority of my education. As part of my schooling, I attended a large trade show held at the Seattle Convention Center and assisted at one of the booths. My last few months were completed at Greenwood Academy of Hair which, at the time, was an Aveda Concept school. Upon completion of school in 1994, I tested and received my license for the state of Washington. (1800 hours)
Immediately afterward, I started in a suburb of Seattle, where I got a great introduction to working in a real salon for six months. I then left to live in a small college town in South Dakota where I applied, tested for, and received my cosmetology license. (2100 hours) I attended a number of color classes through a salon I worked at, as well as at a very small trade show.
In 1997, I moved to Denver and experienced some paperwork timing issues with the Colorado Cosmetology board, so in order to pay the bills, I took a break from salon life and focused on the corporate world. I looked forward to being laid off so that I could pursue my love of hair again. During my corporate break, I kept up on current trends, color education, attended two trade shows, and kept my skills fresh by taking care of my friends and family. In 2005 I got my wish. I worked for a professional salon supply which gave me further exposure to old and new products, to assist in a few color classes, and to work two trade show booths.
In 2006, I started working for a prominent salon here in the Denver area where I was exposed to Keune haircolor. I took a number of continuing education classes on Keune, and was asked if I would start assisting for some of the classes in 2007.

Home Life |
| Married in July 2001 to my wonderfully supportive husband, John. His son, Nick, is nearly 14, and lives with us full time. I've watched him transform from this very cute, inquisitive five year old, to a very mature teenager. We bought our first house in 2006, and have been working very hard to remodel the house ourselves. Our family will be expanding late summer 2008 through the wonderful gift of surrogacy. Thank you, Amy!
